Mission:

The mission of the NBNSTIC Central Library is to provide comprehensive access to the resources and innovative services to support teaching, learning and research activities of the college and thereby to cater diverse information needs of user community of this college. The library strives to develop balanced collection of information resources, irrespective of forms and to adopt technologies to provide better information services.

Objectives:

• To build collection complementary for competitive exams and to provide competitive edge to students

• To provide better and timely access to the resources available in the library
• To provide more and more access to the e-resources through Internet

About Library:

Welcome to the Central library of the NBN Sinhgad technical Institute Campus. The Central Library is knowledge hub of the Institute. It is situated in a magnificent Five-storied building covering an area of 5730 square meters. The mission of the Library is to provide information services and access to bibliographic, full text both in digital and printed resources to support the scholarly and information needs of all students, faculty members and staff. The Library remains open, for 360 days of the year.The Library is Functioning for 24*7 to cater the needs of student and Staff.The Central Library is a information Centre which has rich collection of Engineering Management, and Computer studies. The Library provides comprehensive access to books, journals-journal/online databases.

Library Rules

Membership of Library:

1) Library membership is given to students for one academic year.

2) All teachers appointed are members of Library.

3) Membership is also given to Non-teaching staff. Associate membership is also given to the staff of other colleges in the campus.

Rules for Students:

1) Personal belonging and eatables are not allowed inside the stack section and reading room of the library.

2) Books will be issued only on library Borrower cards.

3) All Students are allotted three books. at a time and he / she will be responsible for the books borrowed on his / her card.

4) Books will be issued for 15 days. After 15 days books will be reissued through renewal request, if there is no demand for the same books.

5) If a student fails to return the books on or before the return date, he / she will be liable for fine Rs. 2/- per day per book.

6) Reference books, Current issues of journals and Magazines will not be issued to students for taking outside the library.

7) If a book is lost by the borrower or damaged, new copy of the same book will be recovered

8) If the student loses his/her library borrower cards, she/he will be charged Rs. 50 for new cards after verification.

9) Maintain silence in the library.

10)Students should return the College Identity card and library borrower cards at        the time of no dues submission.

Rules for Teaching & Non-Teaching Staff:

1) Every teacher will be issued 10 books of her/his subject taught at a time for a semester.

2) Non-teaching staff will be issued 02 books at a time.

3) Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, Hand Books, Year Books & other reference books/and rare books will not be lent outside the library.

4) Library books such as novels, general readings should be returned within a week if demanded by others.

5) Current issues of journals, newspapers are not for home lending.

6) Multiple copies of the same book will not be issued.

7) New books and Journals requirements should be submitted through the Head of the Department to the library.
