Description:

The main focus of workshops is on creating a awareness amongst students for Networking and giving students insight knowledge of Routers and Switches. Networking Engineers are in great demands across the world and are highest paid IT professionals in world. But due to lack of awareness in INDIAN Educational system, students do not get to know the brighter side of Networking Field. Workshops focus on giving students knowledge as well as orienting students towards real time need in industries.

ONE WEEK NATIONAL LEVEL SHORT TERM TRAINING PROGRAM

Title of workshop: INTRODUCTION AND APPLICATON OF INTERNET OF THINGS USING RASPBERRY PI

Date of conduction: 26th to 30th Dec 2016

Description:
The perspective of this one week workshop is twofold.  First is to train the participants for understanding of principle concepts, major issues, technologies and basic approaches in the area of IoT.  The other perspective is to motivate and encourage research in the area of future internet which is going to be the need of next generation society.

Following topics were discussed in this workshop.

Basic IoT Structure. Stages of IoT, IoT gateway. The Raspberry Platform & IoT. Hands-on coding of Python, Microcontroller, Sensors. Setting up Raspberry PI.
Hands-on: LEDs, GPIO pins, HDMI, USB ports, PIR and other sensors. Upload Data On IoT, Cloud Running On Http & SMTP Protocol And Monitor Graphically.
Platforms: What, Why, How? Approaches of IoT, SBCs : Raspberry Pi, Udoo, Intel Edison, Embedded. Boards: ESP8266,RTOS Platforms, ARM (mbed OS) Platforms. Hands on 2: Make an end to end home automation demo. Hands on 3: GaanaBox. Build a jukebox to connect to Gaana.com and play songs.

Description:

Two hours session was conducted for IT students, related to big data & its various ecosystem. Big data is a term for data sets that are so large or complex that traditional data processing applications are inadequate. Challenges include analysis, capture, data curation, search,  sharing,  storage,  transfer, visualization, querying, updating and information privacy.

The seminar mainly focused on the need of big data technology specifically Hadoop & its various components.

Web development is a broad term for the work involved in developing a web site for the Internet (World Wide Web) or an intranet (a private network). Web development can range from developing the simplest static single page of plain text to the most complex web-based internet applications, electronic businesses, and social network service. This workshop focused on basics of PhP, CSS, HTML5 and introduction to visual studio and programming for the same.

It is the de facto standard for the communication and publication of scientific documents in many fields, including mathematics, physics, and computer science. NS (version 2) is an object-oriented, discrete event driven network simulator developed at UC Berkely written in C++ and OTcl. NS is primarily useful for simulating local and wide area networks. Although NS is fairly easy to use once you get to know the simulator, it is quite difficult for a first time user, because there are few user-friendly manuals.
