  • NBN Sinhgad School of Engineering had signed MOU with B&R Industrial Automation Private Limited to start “Centre of Excellence in Automations and Mechatronics”. The objectives of MOU are to strengthen the Industry Institutes interaction. This will help the students to bridge the knowledge gap between the industries and institutes. This will also help the students to gain research projects, internships and placements in industries. A formal online inauguration of this centre is held on 19th March, 2021 with auspicious hands of Mr. G. K. Sahani, Trustee, Sinhgad Technical Education Society, Pune and Mr. Jhankar Dutta, Managing Director, India Region, B&R Automations Private limited. Principal Dr. S. P. Patil, Heads of all departments of NBN SSoE, staff and more than 214 students of all departments were presents online for this inauguration function.

  • Department of Mechanical Engineering, NBN Sinhgad School of Engineering organised online seminar on “Awareness for Earth Safety” on the occasion of Earth Day on 25th April, 2021. More than 33 students and faculties attended this function.

ONLINE ALUMANI MEET (Academic Year 2020-21): was organised for all department on 10th April, 2021. This meeting was addressed by Principal Dr. S. P. Patil, All Heads of department, Department Alumni Coordinators and T&P Coordinators were present for this meeting. More than 107 alumni of Mechanical department have attended this meeting. Some keynote speaker from mechanical department were as below:

  1. Encouragement for Competitive Exams and guidance Centre at institute need to start.
  2. More placement opportunities in core companies should be provided from Institute.
  3. Encouragement for more co-curricular activities like SAE events and Robotic championships, it will help students to enhance practical knowledge.

  • Online Parent- Teacher meet 2021: was organised for various deparments of NBN Sinhgad School of Engineering on 3rd April, 2021. This meeting was addressed by Principal Dr. S. P. Various topics on the career planning and all round development of students were discuused with the parents.

This event was concluded at 3 PM. The winner AJINKYA JADHAV from NBNSSOE and the runner-up Pratiksha Davande from NBN SSOE.

  • The event “DEBATE” organized by NBNSSOE, was started at 9 am TO 1 pm on 6TH FEBRUARY 2020 THURSDAY. The event was organized at CLASS ROOM NO 3 MECHANICHAL DEPARTMENT. The total no of participants were 40. The judges were MRS RUPALI PATIL from SVCP COLLEGE and MR. V. R KAGADE from NBNSSOE. As per the score sheet of the Judges the first prize winner was ANIKET GAIKWAD AND TANMAY SALKE from NBNSSOE and the runner-up was HARSH PARADKAR from NBNSSOE.

  • Energy Scenario and Energy Tips for Engineers by Er.D.R.Parkale ,General Manager(Utility & Chem. Maintenance) was conducted on 04.06.2020 by Department of Mechanical Engineering,NBN Sinhgad School of Engineering Timing: 6:30 m to 8:30 pm . Platform: Google meet. Convenors: Prof.S.M.Jadhav, Prof.Manoj M.Joshi.Principal, Dr.S.D.Markande and HoD Mech.Prof.D.H.Burande and other senior staff members attended this webinar. 144 participants attended across various parts of the country attended this webinar from Maharashtra, Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Madhyapradesh .50% participants were faculties from academics, 47% were students,3% were from Industry, Research.

  • A team of officers from Mahindra Vehicle Manufactures Ltd., Chakan, Pune visited on 24/01/2020 to see infrastructure available with NBN Sinhgad School of Engineering, Ambegaon(Bk.),Pune .Post ITI/12 th Advanced Diploma Course in Mechanical Engineering the syllabus of which was sent to Mahindra Vehicle Manufactures Ltd., Chakan, Pune.

  • Guest lecture on Career opportunities in German, Japan on 31 July, 2019. Mr. Akshay Khirid of of Global Dialect introduced about this Pune based company providing training in German, Japan. Total 96 students of mechanical engineering were present for the seminar.

●       Visit to Katraj Dairy, Pune of second year mechanical engineering students of 3 divisions on 20th September, 2019. Total 180 students and 3 teaching staff participated in the visit.

●       Visit to ASK Industries, Bhosary, Pune of third year mechanical engineering students of 3 divisions on 3rd October, 2019. Total 126 students and 3 teaching staff participated in the visit.

The Seminar on PLM organized byDepartment of Mechanical Engineering was started at 9.30 on Sunday 12/02/2017. The event was organized at at second floor Seminar Hall, NBN Sinhgadschool of engineering, AmbegaonBk Pune- 41. The total no of participants were 70 all of which were from STES.The resource person was Mr. Sagar Chaudhari from Simens PLM software Ltd.

 


“MATLAB” Workshop

The event organized by Mechanical Department was started at 09:00 AM on 12th Feb 2017. The event was organized at Class room 4 and CAD-LAB. The event was organized at NBNSSOE. The total no of participants were 58 from which STES participants were 54 the Non STES participants from Savitribai Phule Pune University were 2 and from other universities were 4.

The speaker WAS Dr.S, P. Deshmukh (PHD IIT MUMBAI) form SAE KONDHWA.

 

DEBATE COMPETITION

The event “DEBATE COMPETITION” organized by MECHANICAL DEPARTMENT was started at 10:30 AM on 9THFEB2017, THURSDAY. The event was organized at NBNSSOE, Ambegaon Bk. The total no of participants were 71, from which STES participants were 49, the Non STES participants from Savitribai Phule Pune University were 22.The judges were Mrs. Shilpa Sane from Sinhgad Spring Dale School and Mrs. Sujata R. Pathak from Sinhgad Spring Dale School.

The event “CAD WAR” organized by Mechanical Department was started at 09:00 AM on 10/02/2017, Friday. The event was organized at CAD LAB (Depat of Mech. Engg.) Training Program on HYPERMESH

Training program has been arranged on 22th, 23th & 24th September 2016 as a part of VAP-V (Value Addition Program) under STP-V. The training program was conducted on “HYPERMESH”. The training sessions were very interesting, informative and application oriented. The contents of the workshop were planned very nicely taking into consideration various topics related to Mechanical Engineering. Also this software has demand in industries for the meshing and analysis of various structures.

Training program has been arranged on 22th, 23th & 24th September 2016 as a part of VAP-V (Value Addition Program) under STP-V. The training program was conducted on “Piping Design”. The training sessions were very interesting, informative and application oriented. The sessions covered all the topics which a piping designer need. Apart from curriculum, these sessions will be helpful to the students to complete their final year projects.

GD & PI Training Sessions

Training program has been arranged on 04th to 10th August 2015 as a part of VAP-V (Value Addition Program) under STP-V. The training program was conducted on “GD & PI”. The training sessions were very interesting, informative and well arranged. The contents of the workshop were planned very nicely taking into consideration various small helpful things that are observed by interviewer during group discussion and personal interview. These sessions will be helpful to the students to during their campus drives.

Training program has been arranged on 19th , 21th & 22th August 2015 as a part of VAP-V (Value Addition Program) under STP-V. The training program was conducted on “Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)”. The training sessions were very interesting, informative and application oriented. The contents of the workshop were planned very nicely taking into consideration various topics related to Mechanical Engineering. Apart from curriculum, these sessions will be helpful to the students to complete their final year projects. Under this workshop, students succeed in attaining exposure to drafting and designing procedure available in the design field and best industrial practices. This exposure helps students in understanding subject in better way and helps in great excellent while in design industry.

Merchant Navy), gave insight to students about the hardships involved in Merchant Navy.  He elaborated about various career opportunities in Merchant Navy for Mechanical Engineers.

The Entrepreneurship Cell is a non-profit organization run by the students of Sinhgad Institutes that aims at manifesting the latent entrepreneurial spirit of the young students. We at E-Cell hosts various workshops, speaker sessions, innovative games, competitions for aspiring entrepreneurs and support them by providing necessary resources such as seed funding, mentoring, consultancy and networking.
