3.  A Session on Advance Computer Assembly

The event “A Session on Advance Computer Assembly” was organized by electrical engineering Department on 21st July 2017. Mr. Anup karandikar, Delivered a lecture on Computer Assembly and explained various components and architecture by dismantling the computer. In the end assembled the computer and explained interfacing of computer with external hardware.

5. Industrial Approach in Electronics

The event “Industrial Approach in Electronics” was organized by electrical engineering Department on 29th August 2017 and resource person was Mr. Sanjay chaudhari, Director, Electronic Study Center; explained the testing of SCR and Transistors and also their working in simple language.

1. Visit to CWPRS

Mrs. Pooja Kulkarni, Mr. Kodli, Mr. N. A. Patil and a few staff members visited CWPRS, Khadakwasla on 14th June 2016. 14th June is the annual day of CWPRS on which the prototype models of the research work are open for the public and the scientists working on the actual projects explain the analysis of their research. It was a wonderful experience for the teachers to see and learn the on going research.

2. Yoga Day

On 21st June 2016, International Yoga Day was celebrated in Department of Electrical Engineering. The staff and students of Electrical Department performed Yoga under the guidance of Omesh Satbhai,a  state level yoga player. Importance of Yoga was very well explained by Omesh and his team.

3. Guest Lecture on ‘Applications of Arduino Software in the field of Electrical Engineering’

A guest lecture on ‘Applications of Arduino Software in the field of Electrical Engineering’ was conducted by Mr. Sandeep Bajare, Model RC Systems, Pune for BE Electrical students on applications of Arduino Software in the filed of Electrical Engineering. After the lecture students could select final year projects based on Arduino technology.

4. A 2 hours workshop on ‘Fault finding and repairing of domestic electrical appliances’

A workshop on ‘Fault finding and repairing of domestic electrical appliances’ was conducted for the Electrical Engineering students on 31st August 2016. Fault finding of domestic appliances such as electric iron, mixer, table fan and ceiling fan was explained by Mr. Shailendra Gaikwad.

5. A workshop on ‘Quadcopter, BLDC motor and its control’

A workshop on ‘Quadcopter, BLDC motor and its control’ was conducted for the Electrical Engineering’ students on 1st September 2016. A demonstration of Quadcopter was also given by Mr. Sandeep Bajare which delighted students a lot.

Workshop on Circuit fixer was conducted on 25th January 2017 3:00 to 5:30 pm under SSC Electrical Club for SE and TE electrical Students. Small circuits such as traffic light co-ordination, mobile to mobile charging and touch sensor were given to students. Students really enjoyed the seesion.

7. Roll the Energy Competition

Date : 09/02/2017 and 10/03/2017

Time: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm

Attendee: Students From Various colleges.

Roll the Energy competition was conducted under techtonic 2017 as atheme event.

Where transformation of  energy from one form to another has to be done.

  • Input to this process is provided only at the beginning and the whole process has to be continued transforming one form of energy to another.
  • Ex:Mechanical to Electrical, Electrical to Heat Energy etc

Students really came up with innovative conversions. Exciting CashPrizes were given to winners.

8. Quiz Competition

Attendee: Students From Various colleges.

Student should were asked technical and general science questions varying with different rounds. Students really had fun and were happy quizzing. Exciting Cash Prizes were given to winners.

9. Circuit Fixer Competition

A  competition in which participants were given technical test on basic knowledge of circuits and made the circuits as per given data. Exciting Cash Prizes were given to winners.

1. Geopathic Stress Detection and Protection.

Mr. Dr. N. P. Dharmadhikari delivered an expert lecture on ‘Geopathic Stress Detection and Protection’. He explained how to deect geopathic stress nicely.

 

 

1. Inauguration of EESA:

Mr. Manoj Badave from Tata Motors inaugurated ‘EESA’ and delivered an expert lecture on ‘Role of an Electrical Engineer in Mechanical Industry’. He explained the role of an electrical engineer in substation and machine maintenance, protection and safety of operators and equipment in Mechanical Industry.

2. Experiential Learning:

Experiential learning is the process of learning from direct experience. Aristotle once said, "For the things we have to learn before we can do them, we learn by doing them”. Experiential learning is learning through reflection on doing, which is often contrasted with didactic learning. Experiential learning is related to, but not synonymous with, experiential education, action learning, adventure learning, free choice learning, cooperative learning, and service learning. While there are relationships and connections between all these theories of education, importantly but they are also separate terms with separate meanings.

Ms. Anjali Chpalkatti taught operating principle of d.c. motor and different types of forces through experiential learning. S.E. students made a d.c. motor from a magnet, rubber band and a coil.

3. Interview Techniques and GD:

Mr. Parkhi delivered a lecture on personal interview and group discussion techniques to S.E. and T.E. Electrical Students from campus interview point of view. He demonstrated the requirements of interview panel by actually interviewing the students.

4. Different  Perspectives of Energy Services:

Dr. Karve delivered a lecture on different perspectives of energy services such as providing a broad range of energy solutions including designs and implementation of energy savings projects, retrofitting, energy conservation, energy infrastructure outsourcing, power generation and energy supply and risk management.

5. State Level Workshop on MATLAB under QIP Of University of Pune:

Faculty Coordinator: Mrs. V. S. Deshpande and Mrs. Pallavi Wararkar

In a two days workshop, Prof. Mrs. Ranjekar taught Circuit Design using Simulink to T.E. electrical students related to Network Analysis, Power System Analysis and Control Systems.

 

6. Workshop on SCILAB:

Under IIT, Mumbai spoken tutorial project, a workshop on SCILAB was conducted for 34 students of T.E. Electrical on 11th September 2013. An exam, based on the covered syllabus was conducted on 24/12/2014. The qualified students got certificates for completing the course successfully from IIT, Mumbai.

 

7. Preparation for GATE and IES:

Mr. Paresh from Imperial Institute of Excellence delivered a lecture to create awareness about IES and GATE examinations amongst T.E. Electrical students on 9th January 2014.

8. Workshop on Automated Guided Vehicles:

A two hours demo session on ‘Automated Guided Vehicles’ was organized for S.E. and T.E. Electrical students on 13th January 2014. Mr. Akash Goyel, Tata Technology guided students on AGV Technology and demonstrated a small AGV.

 

9. A Two Days  Workshop On Circuit Design Using Simulink:

In a two days workshop on 4th and 5th February 2014, Prof. Mrs. Khatri and Prof. Bhawalkar taught ‘Circuit Design using Simulink’ to S.E. electrical students from various colleges under Pune University.

 

10. Seminar on Bioelectronics
