Student Activity
The inception of Computer Students Forum came from the concept that the students themselves should be able to come up with the ideas and organize the activities which would be beneficial to them. Sinhgad Student concil is an student organization at Institute Level,Sinhgad Technical education scociety, Pune. It is entirely managed by the students under the staff’s guidance. It is responsible for arranging all the co-curricular and extra-curricular activities in the department.

Objective:
To improve presentation skills of students and communication between staff and student.
Execution:
The department of Computer Engineering and on the behalf of Sinhgad Student Concil organized the Teachers’ Day Event for the staff members of this department. All the staff is present on this day for this celebration. It also helped to improve presentation skills of students and the communication between staff and student.
The event starts with conduction of first two lectures or practical’s of all classes by TE as well as SE. The lectures are conducted from 10:15 am to 12:15 pm.
The event commence at 1:15pm with traditional approach of singing Ishastavan and performing classical dance. It is followed by the speech from General Secretary. Some students share their experiences with the staff and their classmates. Then some award is given to the teachers by the
third year students. This ceremony is concluded by a speech by H.O.D by valuable guidance to the students. Then later at 3:30 pm some games and refreshments are arranged for all the staff members.
Outcome:
Student got the experience of teaching. It has decreased the communication gap between staff and students.

Techtonic is an Annual National Technical Festival of Sinhgad Techinical Education scociety which is organized each year. Students contribute to the best of their abilities make Techtonic a huge event with a great zeal. ‘Techtonicr’ as a brand has been growing ever since it commenced and this would have not been possible without the constant support of the college staff, management and the industry contribution in it.

To give industry working exposure and technical knowledge to the students.
Execution:
The department of Computer Engineering organizes an industrial visit for second year ,third year and final year students. Department takes permission from the industry . For safety purpose, visits are only organized through college decided tours and travels. Staffs are accompanying the students for visits. Department takes undertaking from the students and also convey the information of visits to the parents .

Objective:
To give platform for final year students to express their views about department and to give future guidelines .
Execution:
Department Computer Engineering and SSC organize this event for final year students. Event starts with speech of H.O.D. Then some staff members express their feeling about these final year students and give some carrier guidance. Then chance is given to final year students to express their views and experience about department and staff members. Then some informal awards are given to the final year students by third year students .
Finally event ends with games and refreshments for final year students and staff members
Outcome:
Final year student get the opportunity to express their feelings and views about the department and faculty and they also get carrier guidance.
Objective:
To give students an insight of latest technologies, research ideas and technical details of any technology through their articles, staff articles, guest columns and guest interviews.
Execution:
Students are encouraged to share their ideas and thoughts about any technology through articles in about 600-700 words. Faculties doing research work or Ph.D also contribute by sharing their idea and experience about research work. Such articles give students ongoing updates in the field of computer science. We also interact with eminent personalities from industry or research and development through guest interviews. Research scholars from industry or university are also requested to contribute their valuable knowledge and experience through guest column. Designing, editing and content writing is solely done by students of department. The final layout of the newsletter is finalized by concerned faculty and printed with the permission of head of the department.

Finepro is intra-department final year student’s project competition started in 2006. In its initial years the main objective of Finepro is to get the students’ projects reviewed by industry experts. The output of this competition is not only to announce the winners but also improvement in the project quality, confidence in the student to face their final project examination.
In recent years the scope of Finepro is extended as project exhibition cum competition. The projects of B.E. students are showcased to third year students, to explore the different project domains and ideas.
Every year the department successfully manages to seek at least 8 to 10 highly experienced industry experts from reputed companies. These experts guide the students on industry standard processes, domain knowledge and latest technology through their discussion. Overall Finepro is the strong step of department for industry institute interaction.
