TECHTONIC 2016
Following Events were organized by Students in TECHTONIC 2016.
The event “CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION” organized by Department of Biotechnology started at 10 am on Thursday, 14th January, 2016. The event was organized at Department of Information Technology. The total no. of teams (2-3 members per team) was 123.
The event took place at the Department of Information Technology, Sinhgad College of Engineering and different locations around the STES Vadgaon Budruk campus. First level of the event comprised of different crime stories with pre-organized dummy crime scenes and participants had to provide the interpretation (Name of the criminal, Motif, Method of Operation of the criminal) of the crime committed. Second level comprised of ‘Identifying the location of a bomb based on the password obtained from the clues in a dark room’. Final round comprised of a grand story (Theme: Nuclear Treaty) consisting live interaction of the participants with suspects in the story and audio-visuals.
The event “SNAPHUNT” organized by Department of Biotechnology started at 9 am on , 14th January, 2016. The event was organized at Department of Biotechnology. The total no of participants were 55.
The event took place at the Department of Biotechnology, Sinhgad College of Engineering. In each of the three rounds, clues were given to the participants, based on which they had to take photographs. The clues were of objects and places all over the STES Vadgaon campus. The participants later had to submit their photographs to the organizers. The photographs were scored based on their accuracy and the amount of time the participating team took to solve all the clues. The teams which scored the most points qualified for the next round.
The event “Psychosis” organized by the Biotechnology Department was started at 9am on 15th of January i.e. Friday. The event was organized at the Department of Biotechnology. The total no of participants were 24.
The event “ Pyschosis” was a quiz, one of its kind. The final round was the Casino Round. The entire room was decorated so as to give it a look of a casino.
The event was a huge success and received great positive feedback from all the participants and they look forward to come again next year.
The event “JOGA” organized by Biotech Department was started at 12 PM on 13th Jan, Wednesday. The event was organized at Sinhgad Springdale school ground, Vadgaon(Bk). The total no of participants were 24.
The event was a five a side knockout football game, held at Springdale school ground Vadgaon campus.
