VALUE ADDITION PROGRAMME [VAP]

Objectives :

  • Emerging trends in technical and professional education call for value addition i.e. students must acquire something more than what is provided in the curriculum.
  • The Institute offers several value addition programs which are designed to bridge the gap between the academia and industry. (The students have the option to choose the courses according to their requirements and preferences)
  • Set of programs is intended to enhance employability by giving engineering students special training to improve their skills and personality development to succeed in competitions.

Outcomes :

  • The Students will be familiar with modern engineering drafting, modeling and analysis, presentation tools and equipment to solve engineering problems.
  • The Students will demonstrate innovation and critical thinking in creating engineering designs and solving problems.
  • The Students will have a broad knowledge of the principles and skills in engineering and development in global, cultural and business contexts.

LAB INNOVATION [LI]


Objectives :

  • To provide platform for the students to develop their innovative ideas
  • To Promote student to develop new product.
  • To promote the student for Internship.
  • To promote the student for participating in competitive and Technical Events.

Process :

  • Display notice for interested student.
  • Student registers the topic with abstract to coordinator.
  • Panel of faculty member select the topic.
  • Selected student name with their topic display on notice board
  • Mentor assesses the idea which will be implementing by the student.
  • Final assessment done by Mentor.
  • Student submits the report with solution.

Outcomes :

  • Improved in existing method /Practical.
  • Increasing Efficiency towards product development
  • Innovative Idea Implemented by student.
  • Performed different approach over traditional method.
  • Generated Revenue from Innovative Ideas.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT CELL [EDC]

Objectives :


  • To promote entrepreneurship in the young minds
  • To promote innovation and inspiring ideas
  • To support development of skills and competence required to become an entrepreneur
  • To provide guidance and information to set up new business
  • Create awareness about various initiatives taken up by Government of India to promote entrepreneurship
  • To facilitate the creation and launch of new ventures and to create new employment opportunities

Process :

  • Workshops and Seminars on entrepreneurship are organized in the Institute, where entrepreneurs and trainers are invited to conduct the sessions.
  • Business opportunity identification and idea generation exercises are conducted during workshops. Students are asked to present their business plan and suggestions and guidelines are given by entrepreneurs and trainers.
  • Business plan competitions are organized, where the students presenting the best business plans are awarded trophies and certificates.
  • Feedback is taken from all stake holders and that is used for further improvement.

Outcomes :

  • Students will get encouraged to develop entrepreneurial qualities.
  • Ability to recognize a business opportunity that fits the individual student.
  • Demonstrate the ability to provide a self-analysis in the context of an entrepreneurial career.
  • Demonstrate the ability to find an attractive market that can be reached economically.
  • Create appropriate a business model.
  • Develop a well-presented business plan that is feasible for the student.
