1. SWITCH GEAR & PROTECTION LAB (SGP LAB)

Electrical Engineering SGB lab is well equiped with equipments covering the prescribed experiments for performing practical. Students are being made aware of different protection schemes through practical model available in the laboratory.

2. HIGH VOLTAGE ENGINEERING LAB (HVE LAB)

Electrical Engineering HVE Lab is well equipedwith superior protection schemes as the equipments are being supplied by high voltage. The lab is having all required apparatus for performance of Practicals.

3. POWER ELECTRONICS CONTROL DRIVES LAB

lab is well equiped with kits with required motors and lamp load to practically understand the control stratergies through semiconductor devices.

Major Equipments:

  • Breaking of DC shunt motor 1/2 HP DC motor
  • Study of 1-ph convertor fed seperately excited DC motor
  • Chopper fed DC series motor

4. PROGRAMMABLE & LOGIC CONTROL LAB

lab is well equiped with PLC and required software for simulation of real world problems. Lab is having sufficient number of system for accommodating the students.

5. ANALOG & DIGITAL LAB

Well equipped lab consisting of experimental kits for study of digital circuit, logical gates, multiplexer and demultiplexer also understand the Boolean logic, different number systems (decimal, hexadecimal, octal, binary).

6. CONTROL SYSTEM LAB

Well equipped lab consisting of experimental kits for study of various system’s stability, gain & phase margin determination. MATLAB is available on system for the students to practice the simulation for control system experiments consisting of time domain analysis.

 


7. NETWORK ANALYSIS LAB

Well equipped with excellent experimental kits related to various experiment like network theorems, resonance condition, two port network etc.This lab makes students well versed with electrical network.

8. MICROCONTROLLER AND MICROPROCESSOR LAB

Well equipped lab with necessary kits based on microcontroller and microprocessor. To demonstrate the interfacing of microcontroller and microprocessors we have interfacing devices such as stepper motor, A to D converter, D to A converter etc. To visualize the experiments we also have software on system “Keil and Flash Magic”.

9. POWER ELECTRONICS LAB

Well equipped lab consisting of various kits based on semiconductors such as thyristor (SCR), diac, tric, MOSFET, BJT etc. These kits helps students to understand the characteristics of different semiconductor devices based on which students can develop acumen of placing correct semiconductor for correct application.

10. BASIC ELECTRICAL ENGG. LAB

Well equipped lab consisting of various demonstrational models of basic motors, transformers, switches, wires, different measuring instruments, rheostat, autotransformer etc.  The lab has sufficient equipment to make students aware of basics of AC and DC supply, basic electrical circuits and how to solve these circuits.

 


11. COMPUTER LAB
A well-equipped lab consisting of 30 PC with the latest configurations, consisting of latest software like MATLAB, Keil and Flash Magic for students to understand the all simulation based experiment in various electrical subjects (control system, Microcontroller and Microprocessor, power system, electrical machine design). Along with this students are also made aware of the different programming language like C++.

12. MATERIAL SCIENCE LAB
Well equipped lab for study of different materials being used in day to day life, it includes the study of behavior of materials, its properties, tensile strength, temperature coefficient of resistivity etc.

13. ELECTRICAL MACHINES LAB
Well equipped lab consisting of DC motors, induction motors, lamp load, 3 phase load, transformers. This lab is to help students understand the construction, working and characteristics of various electrical machines present around us. The experiments will demonstrate the starters used for machines, how to control the speed of the machines and how to stop the machines without affecting the efficiency of machine.


14. ELECTRICAL MEASUREMENT & INSTRUMENTATION LAB
Well equipped lab consisting of different measuring instruments with wide range of ratings of both AC and DC. This consists of voltmeters, ammeter, wattmeter, power factor meter, CRO etc.
