Library is an important intellectual resource of academic community to promote studies and research for self development and play vital role to provide your link to the past & gateway to the future, Books are just the beginning to Educate - captivate - Explore and discover of Knowledge therefore a library can be regarded as a treasure trove of knowledge and a place where the User can search and extract useful knowledge. It also functions by disseminating information about high quality and relevant reading.

Library provides open access to all library users to facilitate fullest utilization of the available resources by the students and staff. The reading materials have been classified as per Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC). Library works as a nucleus of the institution by keeping the knowledge of students and faculty members updated. New arrival Section keeps the Information of resources constantly updated and the facilities are also added periodically to maintain pace with the recent developments in the various areas of knowledge.

Library and Reading Hall are well maintained with learning atmosphere and provided with internet Wi-Fi facility. There is a separate reading section for faculty in library.

NPTEL Video Tutorial

The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL), a project funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), provides e-learning through online Web and Video courses in Engineering, Sciences, Technology, Management and Humanities. This is a joint initiative by seven IITs and IISc Bangalore. Other selected premier institutions also act as Associate Partner Institutions.

NPTEL is a curriculum building exercise and is directed towards providing learning materials in science and engineering by adhering to the syllabi of All India Council for Technical Education and the slightly modified curricula of major affiliating Universities. It has developed curriculum based video courses and web-based e-courses targeting students and faculty of institutions offering UG engineering programs.

Library has downloaded NPTEL web and video course for easy & quick access from the NPTEL web site for the following discipline. Readers can access these courses from Library.

Rules & Regulations
  • Registration should be done to become a library member prior to using the library resources
  • The students must carry their Library-cum-Identity card with them while entering the library. No book will be issued without the Library card
  • FOUR books will be issued only for a WEEK .If the issued books are not returned in Specified time, an overdue per day per book will be charged.
  • In case of loss of library card students are required to inform the librarian immediately and get duplicate library card issued on payment of Rs.50/- within 7 Days of loss. Also, in case of loss of library book (s), students are required to inform the Librarian in writing immediately and get deposit the price of the book in the Accounts/library Section along with overdue fine or replace the book of the same Author/title, etc.
  • For Re-issuing the same book, it is necessary to present the book at the counter. If there is a pending demand for the book, the request for it can be turned down.
  • Reference books, Periodicals, journals and syllabi will not be issued from the library.
  • Stealing of books, underlining of book contents, removing pages and defacing/damaging of library books in any form is a serious offence. The defaulters may be asked to replace/to pay the double cost of the book/fined or even debarred from using Library facilities.
  • Library users are also informed to check their books and other reading material at the time of Issue – Return while leaving the library counter.
  • Bags/poly-bags and overcoat etc. are not allowed inside the library. These are to be kept at the property counter of library. Any student found defaulter, his library membership may be cancelled for a specified period or a semester.
  • Students may contact the librarian regarding any problem/suggestion pertaining to Library services.
  • The Librarian has the right to recall any book from any student without assigning any Reason.
  • Using Cellular phones and audio instruments with or without speaker or headphone is strictly prohibited in the library premises. No discussion permitted inside the library & Library Reading Hall.

 

Reading Hall Rules & Regulations

Reading Hall capacity: 150 students

 

  • Student must carry Identity card along with them while sitting in the Reading Hall.
  • Smoking, eatables & drinks are not allowed in the Reading hall.
  • Mobiles phones are strictly prohibited in the Library Premises. If students found talking on mobile Rs.20 fine will be charged immediately.
  • All Members /Readers are required to maintain the perfect silence & Discipline in the Reading hall.
  • If you want to take books from the stacks to the reading hall, please deposit your I-card along with book card at the circulation counter.
  • The Library reserve the right to suspend the membership of any member found misbehaving, abusing the Library staff or behaving in an indecent manner.
  • Please report to us immediately, if you find anyone damaging the Library/Reading Hall materials.
  • The members caught tearing pages /stealing of Books (Taking out the Books /CDs /Project Reports without issuing ) will be suspended forthwith from using the Library facilities & further disciplinary action will be initiated against them by the institute.
  • Library/Reading hall Rules may be amended or altered as & when necessary.
  • Without Prior intimation & permission of Librarian no meeting held in reading-hall.
  • While leaving the reading hall arrange the chairs properly at the same place.
  • Reading hall timing for only Girls student 8.00am to 6.00 pm
