Department of Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering department was established in 2008 with an intake of 60 students, has grown in size and stature. Currently the intake for UG is 120. It also conducts various certificate courses in CAD/CAM for the students as per the needs of the industry
The department has qualified and dedicated Faculty members, well-equipped laboratories &workshop, modern facilities, and state of the art IT infrastructure with wide range of software products covering all areas of the subject.
It deputes the Teaching staff for higher studies and encourages them to attend various conferences, seminars, workshop to upgrade their knowledge. Many of them have presented and published papers in National & International journals/conferences.
A separate departmental library functions under “Mechanical Engineering Students Association” (MESA). It has large collection of books for various competitive examinations like GATE, GRE, TOEFL, CAT etc. The association also organizes industrial visit, students’ competition and guest lectures by the experts from industry and reputed institution.
The academic performance of the students is impressive. The result of our first batch in the year 2008-2009, was at par with a number of reputed Institutes in the University of Pune.
The goal of the department is to have highly modernized laboratories, teaching tools and other necessary facilities to handle the increase in the intake of students every year.
