The department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering established in 2008 with an intake of 60 students.In 2010 the intake is increased to 120.This is core branch of Engineering that will always be in great demand because almost every industry needs the expertise of Electronics & Telecommunicaton Engineering.
The Department has well equipped laboratories with modern software tools required for the curriculum. It has highly qualified & well experienced Faculty members who continuously up-grades their knowledge. The staff is always motivated to go for higher education, seminars, STTPs, workshops. Many of them have presented & published research papers in National & International Conferences /Journals.
The Department has its own students association called “ETSA”, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering students association. Various Departmental activities like ‘Teachers Day’, “Engineers Day” are organized by the association. Currently the Department is running “IETE” (Institute of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering) students chapter & planning to start “IEEE” student’s chapter in upcoming semester.
Along with the extracurricular activities, the Department concentrates on the conduction of Unit Test per semester, Prelim Examination & MOCK Practical Examination to prepare them for the Finals. It also organized a National Level paper presentation competition for the students “Techno-evolution-10” in the March 2010; The Department has also organized International Conference “Techno- Vision” in 2013. Which got an over whelming response from all over India and Abroad. The department also organized an international conference in May 2020.
It has a special scheme called “Teacher-Guardian” to give a “Human-Touch” to the education process. The Guardian Teacher acts as Friend-Philosopher-Guide to the students and assists them to handle the stress in their life. The goal of the Department is to provide quality education to the students with modern teaching tools & the necessary facilities needed to do so.
Department of Electronics & Telecommunication has maintained pace with the cutting edge technology through research, tie up with Industries, updated laboratories etc. Department successfully runs the Honors courses offered by SPPU. Also we help students to undergo industry internship and projects through various industry linkages.
Our Academic result in the University of Pune examinations is outstanding. We have two University Rankers in the department so far.
