Financial Support / Scholarship/ Freeship

The institute has about 4000 students from diverse background. Various schemes have been implemented to conduct activities for academics and progression towards employment, higher learning and entrepreneurship. Institute provide support to diverse category students like SC,ST,OBC and economically weaker sections of society through various scholarships, free ship and earn and learn scheme. Facilities like competitive examinations, career counseling, soft skill development etc. are made available to make students globally competent.

The institute has active placement cell that helps students to identify job opportunities and arrange campus interviews and a separate ED cell to develop entrepreneurship skills among the interested students to start their own business. Institute maintains strong association with alumni in the way of feedbacks, by career guidance sessions and by technical lectures etc.

The progression of student in various departments of the institute is regularly monitored by AMC using the parameters such as attendance, result analysis, student feedback, placement and progression to self employment and higher studies. The corrective actions are taken to improve the results periodically.

Feedback is taken from students during the course and after exit, for planning and developing support services.

Student participation in co curricular and extracurricular activities is encouraged which is  evident from the track record of participation and achievements.  SAE arranges two mega events “Sinhgad KARANDAK (Sports)” and “Techtonic (Co- curricular)” in which thousands of students participates.

College has various student clubs such as NSS, Rotract club, yoga, women empowerment cell, sports club, cultural club, robotics club, environmental club, health club, personality development club, social club, technical innovation club and student welfare club. Many events are organized under these cells for developing the various qualities among the students like team work, management, leadership and responsibility towards society etc.

 

National and  International Competitions/ Participation

In addition to this every department has a student association which helps the students to arrange trainings, competitions and to promote publications.

The institute has a college magazine “MOSAIC” that not only serves a platform for students to express their creativity and talents but also creates awareness among students with recent affairs.  “MOSAIC” has been a award winner at the University level competition for consecutively five years.

 

Health Care and Insurance

The institute offers excellent medical facilities to staff, students and others in the community. The staff and students can avail the facility at the Department of community medicine, Urban health Centre, Kondhwa which is situated 0.5 Km away from this campus for any minor problem and in case of any major problem the staff and students can avail the facility free of cost at Smt. Kashibai Navale Medical college and General Hospital. A vehicle is made available to meet the medical emergencies.

The institute has the Students Safety Insurance Policy. This policy is renewed each year. According to this policy, all students studying in the institute are insured.  Group Insurance scheme is also provided to all employees.

Teacher Guardian (TG) Scheme

The institute has a “Teacher Guardian” Program for all the students’ i.e First, Second, Third and Final Year. Under this initiative, one faculty is appointed for every 20-25 students as their Teacher Guardian. The role of the appointed faculty is to continuously monitor the academic performance such as daily attendance of the these 20-25 students in lectures and practical, reporting the absentees of the students to their parents on a daily basis telephonically, monitoring their performance in internal examinations and conducting meetings with them regularly to discuss and address their academic as well personal problems of the these 25 students. The details of the above work are maintained in a workbook by the respective Teacher Guardian.

 

Counseling services for Students

The Institute provides various counseling services to the students such as course work,individual needs ,  career advancement  and overall development.

Academic Counseling:

The department has a mentoring scheme in which average 20  students  are assigned  to  each  faculty  member who counsel the students regularly and  look after their academic related issues.Students are guided by mentors regarding academic performance in mentor meetings.

Career advancement:

Institute arranges seminars by alumni , industry experts on a range of career opportunities present in various streams. Campus recruitment is provided through central Training & Placement Cell as well as through job fair. Sinhgad Overseas Cell (SOC) provides facility to promote students abroad for Higher Education.

Personal & Psycho-social counseling:

The  students  during  the  course  of  their  studies  in  the  Institute  come across various  issues.  They  are,  at  times  unable  to take  the  right decisions,  and  handle different personal problems. To help students in serious situation  the campus health center in which professional doctors are made available for the  students for consultation. In each mentor meeting, students peronal  problems are asked to discuss individually by mentor.  Mentor and parent mutually discusses to solve it.
