Cricket, Football, Volley Ball, Basket Ball, Chess & Table Tennis

Q. Can the fees be paid in installments?

No

Q. Will student get the sufficient access to internet and other computing facility?

Yes, we have a dedicated lease line of 12 Mbps for internet access and sufficient computing facility.

Q. What is the placement Procedure?

Each student needs to register on www.myecampus.info(GEMS) in the 2nd semester of TE. Whenever any company is visiting campus for recruitment, TPO will announce the details of the company on the above website only. So the students need to check the website frequently.  Each company will have different placement criteria.  The TPO works free of charge for our students. While registering on the above portal, student need to pay a one-time maintenance charge of Rs. 150/-.

After the interview/test, the company will inform the students of selection through TPO.

Q.  Do you conduct any special training for Placement?

The institute conducts student training programs (STPs) for students. These programs are intended to groom the skills of the students for placement. STPs help the students in grooming their technical as well as soft skills. STP is conducted semester wise starting from semester 3 to semester 7. Assessment of students is done after STP. Training is provided to students as per requirement to improve specific skills.

Q.  How many interviews can I attend?

We want you to get the job in the 1st attempt (1st interview).  Placement office will put no restrictions on the number of interviews you can attend, as long as, you have not got any job.

Q. If I get one job, am I still be allowed for placement?

Normally if you get a job, you are marked as placed and you cannot appear for any further placements. There are some special cases, under which, we allow placed students to appear for other interviews.  Each such student will be decided by HOD and TPO based on the merit of the student.

Q. What are the placement criteria?

Each company will have different criteria. Normally companies want to interview students whose average percentage is above 55% and no ATKTs.  When you register on www.myecampus.info(GEMS), you need to provide your academic record and keep it up to date all the time.  There will be some companies, who do not have any cut off percentage. When such a company visits campus for placement, TPO will pick up students from above portal.

Q.  If I have backlogs am I allowed in the Campus Placement?

TPO does not place any restrictions. The restrictions are imposed by individual companies.

Q. What is the procedure for recruitment (types of tests and interviews)?

Normally the company informs TPO the actual date of test/interview, just around 2 days before. TPO places this information on the web portal.  The company will initially have PPT session to explain about the work culture, future plan of company, selection process, nature of job and salary package.  After the PPT session, the company will conduct an aptitude test. If you clear the aptitude test, then you will be going for Group Discussion. If you clear the GD, then there will be personal interviews (both technical and HR). If you clear all these, then the company will offer you a job, through TPO.

Q. I am interested in development of products. Does any product company come to our campus for interview?

We attract different companies including pure IT service companies, IT product companies and IT divisions of other companies and also companies from core branches like mechanical and civil.

Q. What type of preparation do I require to get a job?

Regular studyfor good academic records and understanding the fundamentals of core subjects are the requirements. Improve your communication skills (both oral and written). Face the interview honestly and with confidence. There will be few companies, which will be looking for specific skills. For example a company may require knowledge of programming language like java, then that company will conduct interview/test based on java language. Only for these types of companies, you require some extra preparation.

Q. What is the pay package?

We attract good companies in the field. Pay package will be normally between Rs 3 Lakhs to 8 Lakhs per annum.

Q. Do the companies have any bonds?

Each company has its own employment service agreement.  After you join a company, as you need to undergo some training, the company wants some assurance that you will be with them after the training period.  So the service agreement is decided by the company as per its own policies.

Q. Will I get a Job?

Definitely you will get a job. There is still lot of demand for computer, IT, E&TC, mechanical and civil engineering professionals. You need to learn the fundamentals of your branch, specialize in some area and communicate well. Pay attention to improve your skills, from day One.

Q. What is our placement record?

So far, through campus placement we are able to place 90% to 100% out of all eligible students by the time they complete their BE.
