Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) was established at Sinhgad Academy of Engineering  on 12th October 2015.The IQAC has been constituted as per the recommendations of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The IQAC ensures the effective implementation of quality initiatives through continuous reviews and periodic meetings. The IQAC works towards attaining excellence in all academic and administrative endeavours of the institution.

To ensure quality culture as the prime concern for Sinhgad Academy of Engineering through institutionalizing all the initiatives taken with internal and external support to achieve excellence.

To assess and upgrade the quality of academics, administration and ambience for ensuring high quality of teaching, learning and research in the institution

Quality Policy

We pledge to develop our teaching and learning methods constantly in order to deliver high-quality education and raise the standard for our students.

Objectives

  • To develop a system for conscious and consistent action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.
  • To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and best practices.

Functions of the IQAC

· Development and application of quality benchmarks for the various academic andadministrative activities of the Institute.

· Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive for quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process.

· Arrangement for feedback responses from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes.

· Dissemination of information on the various quality parameters of higher education.

· Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles.

· Documentation of the various programmes/activities of the College, leading to quality improvement.

· Acting as a nodal agency of the Institution for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices.

· Development of Quality Culture in the College.

· Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) of the College based on the quality parameters/assessment criteria developed by the relevant quality assurance body in the prescribed format.
