It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to the most reputed college Sinhgad Academy of Engineering (SAE). Whenever people look at a tall building they always tend to see its top and the base gets neglected which is the actual balance of the building. Yes, First year of engineering is the base and the first year department at SAE strengthen that base being a foundation stone of engineering academics. It is the place where you will be acquainted with technical and personal skills to compete with world-class students.
We take utmost care of the newly admitted students as they are at the transition period from schooling to college life. To help them in getting adapted to the change various activities/programs such as Induction program, project based learning, career awareness, mentorship, various competitions, parents meet are conducted.
The first year is an imperative time for all the students and it signifies unique phase in their learning. We feel proud to provide quality education to learners through well qualified and dedicated faculty and staff, excellent infrastructural facilities, well equipped library and laboratories. It is an opportunity for our faculty and staff to provide training for learners to compete in the real world and succeed in their chosen career path. The objective of the department is to mould students and start their journey as professional engineers.
