Social Activities

Social Activities:

SVCP Social Welfare and Social Activity Cell conducts various activities throughout the year. For the academic year 2022-23, the committee members are Principal Dr. Mrs. Mrunalini S. Jadhav, Vice Principal Mrs. Sujata K. Biyani, Mr. A.G. Bansode, Mr. S.C. Thorat , Ms. K.S. Pise, Mrs.T.R.Vallakathi and Mrs.J.C.Joshi. The committee plans activities and execute them involving other faculties and student volunteers.

Following are some of the activities conducted in the academic year 2022-23.

Sou. Venutai Chavan Polytechnic organized “Poster Making Competition (Topic-Organ Doantion)” in collaboration with Rebirth trust from 19 November 2022 to 27 November 2022. The event was coordinated by first year staff. There was a huge response from all the students.

We had received total 78 posters . Prizes declaired by rebirth were 10 third prizes, 5 second prizes and 1 first prize.

E-WASTE AND PLASTIC WASTE

E-Waste donation

Sou. Venutai Chavan Polytechnic organized “E - waste & Plastic Disposal Drive ” in collaboration with Poornam EcoVision Foundation from 14 March 2022 to 01 April 2022. The event was coordinated by SVCP Social Committee. There was a huge response from all the students, teaching faculties and non-teaching staff.

The total collected single use plastic and E-waste was handed over to “Poornam EcoVision Foundation” for recycling.

CLOTH DONATION CAMP

Cloth Donation

Sou. Venutai Chavan Polytechnic organized Cloth Donation Camp in collaboration with Goodwill India on 11 February 2021. The event was coordinated by SVCP Social committee. There was a huge response from all the teaching faculties and non-teaching staff.

The tag line of Cloth Donation Camp was:

Be a cause of someone's happiness!”

FLOOD RELEIF DONATION CAMP

Flood Relief Donation

Sou. Venutai Chavan Polytechnic collected and supplied clothes and food materials to contribute towards relief operations for flood hit Mahad (Konkan) on 30 July 2021. The event was coordinated by SVCP Social committee.

All the teaching faculties and non-teaching staff collected and donated essentials like – Clothes, Bed sheets, Raincoats; food supplies like grains such as wheat, jowar, dal and rice, daily essentials like a Mask and sanitizer.
