Department of Information technology commenced in the year 2001. As per the recent trends in IT field, faculties of department always give the best and upgraded knowledge to the students. To fulfill this aim, department organizes various workshops and seminars based on latest topics. Workshop based on Multimedia and Animation Techniques for final year, computer network for second year and computer fundamentals for first year students are conducted in the department. In previous year, most of the final year student secured admission in renowned degree colleges. Many former students of the department are pursuing their Post Diploma Courses in foreign countries such as Australia, USA etc.
The laboratories like Advanced Software, Networking and Programming are well equipped with latest PC Configuration. All the teaching and Non – teaching staff members pay personal attention and counsel the students for their problems, if any.
Efforts of the dedicated and sincere faculties bring out the best results every year. Many of our students participated in various events and won prizes at state level competitions. “ISmart Helmet” project of our third year students has won First Prize in Dipex 2017, Project Competition.
In order to work towards our PM’s vision, Ministry of HRD, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) propose the Smart India Hackathon 2017, a unique initiative to identify new and disruptive digital technology innovations for solving the challenges faced by our country. This initiative aim to institutionalize a model for harnessing the creativity and technical expertise of 3.0 + million students for direct benefit of our nation. We are honored to share that one of our project group has participated and has got recognized in the Smart India Hackathon 2017.
