Its pleasure taking you through the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
The Department was established in the year 1993 & second shift was started in the year 2008. We have Post Diploma in Automobile Engineering, which was started in the year 2005.
The Department has well equipped & spacious laboratories, adequate numbers of class rooms and a seminar hall. The computer laboratory has latest drafting & design softwares and Internet facility. We have 22 full time, highly qualified & experienced faculty.
The department has been accredited for five years w.e.f. 11/06/2004 by National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi. The overall results of department have consistently been above 90% & generally our students secure position in MSBTE, Mumbai topper’s list.
We have a strong Institute Industry Interaction cell which helps us in conducting guest lectures for students, arranging industrial visits, undertaking faculty development programmes & carrying out consultancy activities.
The department has Mechanical Engineering Student Association (MESA), under which Long tours/ excretions, cultural events, Paper/poster Presentation/Gaming/CAD competition are held.
