He explained how people associated with What-up, Facebook and other social networking sites are vulnerable to cyber crime and the precautions they need to take to be protected form being a victim or a part of cyber crimes. The session was very informative and was thoroughly enjoyed by all students.

He gave the major differences between CV, Resume, and Bio-data. He told us the various things regarding – “How to improve your Resume” by obtaining experience, reading books on Management, learning new Language & enhancing Computer skills. Second major area he discussed was about interview skills.

 


A Psychometric test was administered by Dr. Sunita Ramam to MBA Semester I students, based on the scores of which they were counselled on their personality traits, most students were open to experience coupled with extraversion, some students were prone to alexithymia. They were counselled on how one can enhance the positive traits and how one could overcome these shortfalls.


Marketing is what the marketer shows to the consumer. Ms. Kamakshi Bharathan through Introduction to the world of marketing infused the connect of various advertisements and consumer influences with the help of different types of advertisements to MBA Semester I students .


Dr. Santosh Bhave discussed Role of HR in Mergers & Acquisitions on 25th Aug 2012 with MBA Semester III HR students

  • During the session speaker has discussed the role of various countries in transforming business.
  • He has also given various examples as to how India has been using various transformation methods to match with globalization.
  • He sighted that to cope up with mergers and acquisitions organizations need more intellectual individuals and how the quality assurance has shifted to quality control.

Mr. Arif Bootwala discussed prospects in the Insurance sector "Insurance Sector - No demon no devil" on 11th Aug 2012 with MBA Semester I students

Insurance is one industry which most Management students hesitate to enter into. There is reluctance on part of students to even register for Insurance companies, during the campus recruitments. Mr. Bootwala threw light on how the insurance sector works, what are its pros and cons with special reference to how these cons can be opportunised and better business be done.
