Induction program - August 2018

The Induction program for the new MBA batch was scheduled on the 1 & 2 of August 2018.The program started by the lighting of the lamp followed by saraswativandana to make the ambience a positive one. The inaugural welcome note was given by Prof. Anima Rathod, Induction coordinator. Mr. Tarkesh Gupta, Head HR- FresneiusKabi Global Pvt Ltd, honoured the inaugural by sharing his views as the chief guest for the session. He shared live examples of learning from his 20 plus years of experience in the pharmaceutical sector. He spoke about the assets that an MBA graduate need to acquire during the two years of internship. The session was also addressed by the campus director Dr. V.V. Dixit.

The keynote speaker for the second session was Dr.GowdaraPandu, Chief Advisor- Atom X Corporation Pvt ltd. Dr. Pandu made the session an interactive one. He differentiated between time bound activities and skill based activities for the new joiners to the management sector. The first day also included activity based learning in the form of management games conducted by Prof. PravinBodade.

The afternoon session started with Dr.J John Peter, Dean MBA, addressing the students and emphasizing the importance of active learning by siting examples from the pass-out batch. Prof. Yogesh Phalke, Training and placement coordinator also addressed the students giving them a bird’s eye view about the status of placement, company types, and overall placement scenario with facts and figures for the past 5 years.

The keynote speaker for the second day was Mr. AmitPednekar, Business Head, Intelliment Technologies. He shared his views about the present market scenario for the management undergraduates and virtually guided the crowd through the journey that they need to undergo for a successful carrier perspective. Prof. Prashant Patil, Coordinator STP, and Prof PravinBodade, Coordinator case studies, also addressed the students during the session.

The second session was addressed by Mr. Parag N Shinde, Manager HR, Reliance Industries, an esteemed alumni. Post lunch session was customise for Alumni interaction, faculty Introduction and of course the appreciation of the academic achievers for the present batch and the pass out batch.

The two day Induction program ended with a valedictory session, thanking all the stake holders of Sinhgad Technical Education Society, the founder members and the students.

Induction program- August 2017

As an integral part for the commencement of the new session for MBA 2017-18, RMD Sinhgad School of Management studies organised the Induction program for the new MBA batch on the 1-2 August 2017. The chief guest for the day was Dr. Ajay Palkar, DGM, Special defence projects of Mahindra Group of companies along with our Director, Dr. C.B Bangal; Dean MBA, Dr. J John Peter, and the Induction co-ordinator, Prof. Anima Rathod as the dignitaries on the dais. The chief guest enlightened the freshers with real life examples of Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam, Shivaji Maharaj, Shri Narendra Modi to name a few in their contribution and dedication towards a developed and better society.

The second session was taken over by Mr. Ashish Vaishnav, Business Head, Global cooling, Thermax Ltd. He emphasized on what kind of approach the generations of today should carry in order to be successful in every fronts of life. The second days key note speakers were Mr. Mahesh Kudtarkar, Vice president-HR, Ghadge Patil Transport Ltd. He spoke on the seven mantras of success – Integrity, Commitment, People’s person, Patience, Reliability, Hard work and Adaptability. The last guest Mr. Faisal Sheikh, Manager HR, Fresenius Kabi, spoke on the skills (interview skills, GD skills, facing interview skills) one requires to develop in order to meet the market expectations.
