BASIC ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING LAB

Basic electrical laboratory is designed to meet the needs of the first year electrical Engineering. The laboratory can be used to give the basic knowledge and skills needed in further Engineering years.

The basic aim is in the pursuit of academic excellence and better understanding of the concepts both in theory and practical from fundamental level to its applications. Lab is well equipped with Rectifier unit. Students learn about Wiring schemes, Thevenin’s theorem, insulation testing, loading of transformers. Practical batch of 20 students perform the course experiments. Each and every student is given hands on experience to perform their experiments. Continuous assessment is done on basis of performance and results of experiments. Lab area is 90sq.cm.

BASIC ELECTRONICS LABORATORY

Basic electronics laboratory is fully equipped by the latest electronic instruments. Each and every student is given hands on experience to perform their experiments on latest electronic kits. They perform their practical and write down the journals which are regularly checked. We give 100% attention towards continuous assessment and their attendance. Each batch is of 20 students. We are having total 5 experimental table on which group of 4 students perform their experiments. Total 10 experiments are carried out throughout the semester. Two study experiments and remaining 8 are to be performed.

BASIC MECHANICAL ENGINEERING LABORATORY

A state of the art laboratory under the Department of First Year Engineering which is fully equipped with all the instruments, working models and self-explanatory charts according to the University of  Pune norms. The laboratory is fully equipped with working demonstration models of shafts, bearings, gears, boilers, engines and a lot more which gives a student a comprehensive view of the subject and helps in understanding the subject with a practical approach.

ENGINEERING PHYSICS LABORATORY

Physics Laboratory is fully equipped with the all instruments as per the syllabus requirement. It consists the experiments on Optics, Sound Engineering, Laser & Solid state Physics.  The major instruments available in the laboratory are Ultrasonic Interferometer, Diffraction Spectrometer, He-Ne Laser, Sound absorption coefficient measurement unit. The laboratory consists of multiple sets of every instrument so that every student gets hands on experience to perform the experiment. The performance of the student is monitored by continuous assessment.

FUNDAMENTALS OF PROGRAMMING LAB

The Fundamentals of Programming lab has well equipped and well maintained along with internet facility of speed 15 Mbps, which possess more than 100 high end PCS with necessary licensed operating system and software and  licensed copy of antivirus. Labs are well protected with UPS. First semester students learn programming in C, solving problems, developing logic and some data structures. In second semester, students further learn, in data structure course, advanced programming skills, complex algorithms and data structures.

SEMINAR HALL

Seminar hall is basic required infrastructure for technical education. The guest lecture, industry interaction, personality development, recent happenings in technology and science can be exposed to students very effectively. To achieve all above RMD SSoE have developed well equipped seminar hall with capacity of 120 students. An arrangement of LCD, PA system, Computer with internet connection is available.

LIBRARY

The college has well-established computerized Library with a large collection of reference books, technical journals, educational DVDs and CDs for all courses offered through RMDSTIC. In addition to print copies of relevant journals, the library has also subscribed international online journals like IEEE, ASME, ASCE, WILEY BLACKWELL, McGRAW HILL, Science Direct, ASTM, J-Gate(JET and (JSMS), BCRC which can be accessed and downloaded through  internet facility provided in digital library. NPTEL video Lectures delivered by India’s best teachers are also available in library

READING ROOM

To pursue the technical education the good number of student is from outside the Pune city. Most of them are residing on hostels. To provide  them healthy, condensive and peace full  learning environment reading hall of capacity 300 students is designed. The reading hall is open till late hours. The discipline is monitored by staff from library.

CLASSROOM

First year Engineering department has separate 11 class rooms with furnished with basic requirements. All classroom are equipped with a effective teaching tool like LCD projector for implementation of condensive teaching learning process.

DRAWING HALL

Drawing is basic skill to be developed for very Engineer irrespective of stream. Engineering drawing enhances visualization of design of equipments, infrastructure machinery. Drawing hall is well furnished with necessary requirement as per syllabus.
