From the Desk of the HOD

Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering department of RMD Sinhgad School of Engg was established in 2012. The department offers UG course in E&TC and PG course in VLSI and Embedded systems with the intake of 60 and 24 respectively. The goal of the department is to produce skillful and employable Engineers by providing them the best technical knowledge and hands on experience in the well-equipped laboratories of the department. To fulfill this goal, the department has well qualified and expert faculties and the good infrastructure. The department has total eight different labs like electronic devices and circuits, Communication Engineering and Microwave antenna lab with equipments purchased form the standard vendors.

An E&TC Engineer works at various levels of system designing, be it Electronic system or an equipment of telecom industry or VLSI & Embedded Systems. That’s why this branch has a wide scope. These Engineers design, fabricate, maintain, supervise and manufacture electronic equipments used in entertainment industry, computer industry, communication and defense. Ever increasing pace of development in electronics, audio and video communications systems and the automation in industry have made an Electronic Engineer a catalyst for the change of the modern society. The department works hard in order to prepare students to face the challenges engendered by the industry.

Department has formed an association of students, which explores various hidden qualities of students and prepare them to take on various real life problems. This forum is by the students of the students for the students
