Life on Campus

Our institute has its own culture and way of life. What better way to judge the same, than to have a sneak peak at one of the participants' 24 hour routine (if you can call it that, considering the extreme variations). The institute offers tremendous ways to get involved in campus life.

A word of caution before you read on: the description below cannot be generalized to every candidate because as is very well said – “We all paint the canvas in our very own ways? With that in mind, here you go...”
Even with rigorous academic schedule, SIMCA students find time to play and stay fit. To sustain in this competitive world and to handle the burden of tasks, students should be physically fit and strong enough. Students have number of opportunities to compete and stay in shape through a huge array to choose from: Cricket, Basketball, Football, Badminton, Table Tennis, and Volleyball. Some indoor and brain chasing games are also there like Chess and even Carom. These are in addition to of course the gamut of computer games (Counter Strike and AOE being the most popular).
The institute has provided us a state-of-the-art gym. The facilities are open to all students. In all, you have the best opportunity to sweat yourself out. And, as a friend of ours once said, you can experience “The Jogger’s high?” Health is Wealth that is why our students are provided with Gym and other equipments.

College Teaching

Highly uncertain future can be guessed as it will reward people who are intellectually resilient. So, people who can express their views clearly, can think in the critical way; people who can solve problems and recognize opportunities very skillfully; people who have learned to clinch life innovatively and solicitously, in any of the circumstances they are in.

Budding and fostering such capabilities is the key factor of what we conduct inside SIMCA classrooms and laboratories. College Teaching takes the form of a combination of lecturing, class discussion and practical sessions. The atmosphere is fairly informal, where students encouraged to ask questions and discuss issues.

Right from the first semester of students in the institute, we try to impart confidence into them. We give them encouragement and support to learn and understand the courses.

Teaching is facilitated with different aids:
  • Presentations
  • Whiteboards
  • Internet Facility in Classroom

It’s like a true democracy; Of the Participants, By the Participants and For the Participants. We even have our very own miniature elections. Anyways, coming back to the day’s activities... These clubs may keep you engrossed with various guest lectures and events, which stretch across all domains of Information Technology.
