INTRODUCTION
Sinhgad College of Architecture is one of the premier Architectural Institutes in Pune. Since its inception in the year 2000, SCOA has grown to a Bachelor of Architecture course with 160 intake, two Master of Architecture programs and a PHD research cell.
Apart from the Academic development SCOA strives to inculcate the habit of Research in the field of Architecture by organizing Seminars & conferences. SCOA has so far organized two National level conferences and one state level seminar, and plan to host the second state level seminar in association with Savitribai Phule Pune University in the month of February 2016 on the theme of ‘Space & Architecture’ |

THEMES
Psychological association of space with culture and lifestyle is not unique to architecture. All art forms in some way explore the multiple physical & psychological dimensions of space through their arts. The concept of personal space and public space is thus an essential ingredient of all performing arts like Drama, Dance, Music, Cinema, fundamental Sciences & fine arts like painting and sculpture. The myriad ways of conceptualization & interpretation of space in these disciplines can enrich the vocabulary of space in architecture.
