Association of Computer Engineering Student’s: (ACES)

The Computer Engineering Student’s Association was formed on August 2007. The students’ association is the pivot around which the extra-curricular activities are initiated which play a significant role in the life of the students. They serve as an important platform for arranging lectures by eminent engineers, debates, competitions, general knowledge quiz, essay competitions and various programmes and, in general, stimulate interest of student in the diverse spheres of knowledge.

Objectives:

  • To strive for synchronization between academic learning and Industry.
  • To be con-current with the latest development.
  • Overall Personality development of student.
  • To develop the organizing Skills of student.
  • To promote Team-Work.

Fresher's Party

Teacher's Day & Engineer's Day Celebration

A Teachers day & Engineers day celebration was arranged in honor of the Dr Sarvpalli Radhakrishna and Sir Mokshkundam Visveswaraya respectively 156h Sept 2021. The students of ACES along with other junior students organized it. Due to pandemic situation on world the function organized on Microsoft Team an online platform. The function began at 2 p.m. with recitation from the Sarasvati Puja. Then the students were offered floral wreaths. 133 students have attended the event with fun and joy.

Many teachers, students and education enthusiasts attended the event. Dean R&D Dr M S Chaudhary had delivered speech for students about opportunity in research.Some students delivered their speech on behalf of the students of the College. A good number of candidates also addressed the gathering. Their speeches were heart touching. Many students could not help shedding tears. They expressed their deep love and gratitude to the teachers for their teaching.

Next the teachers wished the students welfare and advised them to prepare themselves to serve the nation in future. Some guests also addressed in the same way. The program came to an end at about 3.30 p.m

Fresher's Party

The purpose of Fresher’s Party is to welcome new students in a friendly atmosphere and to encourage their creative impulses to boost their confidence. It is the day where seniors and juniors finally bond and unite to celebrate being part of the college. Students of second Year (batch:2021-22)- students were welcomed with the red rose to this party which was organized by ACES in the fountain area at 4PM.

The program started with lamp lightening and inaugural speech by Honorable Principal, Dr M S Gaikwad and followed by the Tresuers’s speech for the freshers. The program was hosted by Ms. Pranjal Devde,Mr Mohit and Mr Vineet Holkar student from TE. The cake was cut by the ACES Faculty Coordinator , President, and the Class Representatives of the each fresher’s batch. Some students delivered their speech, some girls perform solo dance as well duet dance. Mr. Fresher and Miss Fresher’s a competition is organized for them in which Mr Freshers title win by Mr Savyasachi Acharya …. And Miss Fresher win by Eshwaree Tondilkar… A good number of candidates also addressed the gathering.

Next the teachers wished the students welfare and advised them to prepare themselves to serve the nation in future. Some guests also addressed in the same way. The program came to an end at about 7.30 p.m.

  • Engineer's day and Teacher's day celebration was organized by Association of Computer Engineering Students (ACES) on 15th September 2019 at 3:00 P.M. at SIT-II building

Academic Year: 2018-19

  • Fresher’s Party 2018-2019 was organized by Association of Computer Engineering Students(ACES) under the guidance of Faculty Co-ordinator Prof. S. B. Waykar on 12th October 2018 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. at SIT- II Building.

Academic Year: 2017-18

  • “Department Level FE Induction Program” was organized by Computer Engineering Department on 1st August 2017, Tuesday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. The event was organized at Electrical Seminar Hall. The total no of students who attended this event were more than 150.
  • “Department Level Fresher’s Party 2017-18” was organized by Association of Computer Engineering students under the guidance of faculty coordinator Prof. S.B. Waykar on 01/09/17 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The event was organized around the fountain area of SIT 2 Building.

Academic Year: 2016- 17

  • “Department Level FE Induction Program” was organized by Computer Engineering Department on 9th August 2016, Tuesday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. The event was organized at Electrical Seminar Hall. The total no of students who attended this event were more than 150.

 

Microsoft Campus Club

Objectives:

  1. The MSP program  under club enhances students' employability by offering training in skills not usually taught in academia, including knowledge of Microsoft technologies.
  2. Make Student Partners to further share the knowledge among the academic community by, for example, arranging courses, giving presentations and initiating projects.
  3. The MSP program under club is an educational and promotional program to sponsor undergraduate and postgraduate students majoring in disciplines related to technology.
  4. Aims to enhance students' employability and increase students' awareness of Microsoft   technologies. Student Partners are offered training especially in product-specific skills not typically taught in academia.
  5. The Club aims to increase awareness of Microsoft products, programs and initiatives. Consequently, the program helps expanding the user base of Microsoft products, and results in better availability of properly educated workforce in those technologies.

Business Club

The  business club (BC) is an extra-curricular activity to enhance student learning of entrepreneurial competencies. It is a club in which students work in groups under the supervision of their teacher to raise money, create and sell products & services, and manage their businesses for 1 year.

By running a mini business enterprise called “projects”, students learn entrepreneurial competencies practically. Business club Exhibitions are a practical assessment tool where students publicly demonstrate their skills, attitudes, and competencies.

What is Business Club and How it works?

  • A  level  students lead the business club.
  • The Club runs multiple different business projects managed by small teams(Skills lab teams).
  • The club has student leaders and recruits club members from the total second year and third year students to join them.
  • The club is student-led but is supervised by entrepreneurship teacher(s).
  • Skills Lab Teams meet during extracurricular time to create their business projects.
  • The business club holds regular club meetings to plan and coordinate activities.
  • Business Clubs meet a time convenient for students, after classes. Normally during time for extra-curricular activities.
Importance of Business Clubs:
A Business Club (BC) is likely to benefit our college in the following ways:
  1. Better student performance in Entrepreneurship.
  2. Positive impact on college culture & community.
  3. Increased student leadership skills & competencies.
  4. Productive after-class time keeps students away from undesirable behaviour.
