The objective of the Industrial Visit is to help students to gain first hand information regarding functioning of the Industry which presents the students with opportunities to plan, organize and engage in active learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom. The main objective of industry visits during the MBA course is to correlate the theoretical concepts with the actual practical one so that students get insights of business practices.
Industry visits also help the students to interact with the industry people who make them aware about the responsibilities and criticality of decision making in companies. Sinhgad Institute of Technology & Science is consistently taking efforts on arranging such industry visits. Institute had given visits to companies like Menon & Menon Ltd Kolhapur, R M Mohite Industries, Kolhapur, Freto Lays Pune, Walchandnagar Industries, Walchandnagar, Bacardi Goa and many more. Sinhgad Institute of Technology & Science every year tries to visit at least two industries.
In MBA second semester students have subjects like Manufacturing and Operations Management & Materials & Logistics Management which are very much technical subjects. Understanding such subjects becomes difficult if students are not able to visualize the actual manufacturing practices. Industry visits to manufacturing companies certainly helps the students to understand the technical concepts which enhances the result of the students and helps to create interest in the subjects as well.
