1.What is the fee for first year?

2. What is the procedure for MBA admission?

As per the DTE, Government of Maharashtra Procedure Ref. websitewww.dte.org.in

Once DTE allots our college, following actions to be taken by the student.

a) Reach college on date given by DTE.

b)Collect prospectus & admission form from respective counter. Attach 2 photostat attested copies of all certificates as per DTE list and two passport size photographs.

c)Get the form & document checked up from the designated staff at the                   Document counter.

d)Move to the “Data Entry” counter where complete personal data is                     recorded. (There are four such counters with PC on LAN).

e) Move to cash collection counter to pay the fees.

  1. Cash/cheque not accepted.
  2. DD of a nationalized bank drawn in favor of: “Sinhgad Academy of Engineering” payable at Pune.
  3. Students name, year & branch must be mentioned on the backside of the DD.

f)Student then to move to “Confirmation Counter” where his admission is                confirmed & this information is online passed to DTE.

g) Move to “Identity Card” counter where photograph is taken & requisite               details are recorded.

h)Report to the F.E. Department for academic information.

3.Is hostel available? How far it is from college?

4. What is hostel fee? Does it include both lodging & boarding?

5. What is the cut off marks for so & so subject?

MBA : 63

 

6. What are some resources available to students?

Computer Laboratory, Library, Reading Hall,Conference room, Studio for E-content,  Digital Library, Sports Club, Hostel, Canteen , Mess, Research Center, Clinic.

7.What sports facilities are available?

Cricket, Football, Volley Ball, Basket Ball, Chess & Table Tennis

8.When is the college starting for next academic year?

9.What is the placement Procedure?

Each student need to register on www.myecampus.com in the 2nd semester. Whenever any company is coming for recruitment, TPO will announce the details of the company on the above website only. So you need to be checking the website frequently.  Each company will have different placement criteria.  The TPO works free of charge for our students. While registering on the above portal, you need to pay a one-time maintenance charge of Rs150/-.

After the interview/test, the company will inform the students of selection through TPO.

10. How about the placement activities

For a better placement of a student number of different classes and activities are on going in the campus that helps the students to make their way easier.

Personality Development Programmes : Special care is taken to provide the requisite skills to the student so as to enable them to pursue their career goals. As an effort in this direction Personality Development Programs are undertaken which include organizing of regular tests of English Language, Technical Topics, Aptitude, Reasoning and Logic Debates, Presentation, Group Discussion, HR and Technical Mock Interviews are part of the Personality Development Programs. The students are enrolled for PDP right from the first semester to develop their Soft and Technical Skills.

MOU's Signed : MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with reputed industries for continuous training & placement activities.

 

11.Do you conduct any special training for Placement?

In 2nd semester, we conduct an aptitude test to understand each student’s areas of strength and weakness. This result of the test is shared with the students. After this test, we conduct placement training for approximately 100 hours spanning 6 months. As both the test and training is conducted by outside specialists, each student desirous of availing this facility need to pay some money to these outside agencies, through the department Training Placement  faculty.


12.  If I get one job, am I still allowed for placement?

Normally if you get a job, you are removed from the Placement list. There are some special cases, under which, we allow students who got a job to appear for other interviews.  Each such case will be decided by HOD & TPO based on the merit of the case.



13.  What are the placement criteria?

Each company will have different criteria. Normally companies want to interview students whose average percentage is above 55%. When your register on www.myecampus.com you need to provide your academic record and keep it up to date all the time.  There will be some companies (in the IT field), who do not have any cut off percentage. When such a company comes for the placement, TPO will pick up the students from the above portal.



14.  What is the procedure for the recruitment (types of tests and interviews)?

Normally the company informs TPO the actual date of test/interview, just around 2 days before. TPO places this information in the web portal.  The company initially will have PPT session, where they explain about the work environment, companies future plans , selection process , Type of work you would be doing and  salary  package.  After the   ppt session, the company will conduct an aptitude test. If you clear the aptitude test, then you will be going for Group Discussion. If you clear the GD, then there will be personal interviews (both technical and HR).  If you clear all these, then the company will offer you a job, through TPO.



15.  What is the pay package?

We attract good companies in the field. Pay package will be normally between Rs 3 lakhs to 7 lakhs.
