Competition details: Sinhgad Institute of Management (SIOM), Pune, in continuation to their emphasis on holistic improvement of the students, organized an event “B-Ideate” (Idea Generation for startup Business) through SIOM E-Cell on 13th September 2013, for MBA I, 2013-2015 batch .
Objective: To induce Business idea generation knowledge in the students through a practical approach.
The event was divided into two rounds: Intra Class and Grand Finale. First round was held in all the ten divisions in their respective classes. Students were given sectors (Technical/ Manufacturing/ Food/ Services) under which they had to think of a Startup Business Idea and present it on a chart of paper using their own creativity. Final Round of “B-Ideate” was initiated with an encouraging speech by Dr. Nilesh Gokhale, Director (SIOM), Pune. He spoke about different creative learning approaches and opportunities in today’s world with special reference to SIOM. The event was coordinated by Prof. S.K. Sharma.
