All developing nations exhibit a strong growth rate in the service sector and India is no exception to this trend. The service sector is not only growing best but also facilitating the development of other factors in the economy. The world is rapidly becoming a charge service system and the service sector today constitutes a major part of the GDP of most countries. With this on mind and to fulfill the objective like imparting knowledge of development of service sector to Management Studies the theme “Information Technology in service industry” was taken into consideration by the organizers.
The two day conference started with inaugural session by Keynote speaker Mr. Amit Gajwani, Vice President, Business Development, Cybage. The discussion was well focused and based on implementation and need of IT. It was followed by session of Mr. Vijaykumar, Head, Training & Development, Cognizant which had theme ‘Job opportunities in IT industry’. Mr. Atul Rohankar Professor and Head, Department of Information Technology, Sinhgad College of Engineering elaborated in his session ‘Technology Vision 20-20’
Day two began with the session on ‘Effective googling for knowledge Management’ in which the delegates had the opportunity to learn Smart Googling and searching for exact Knowledge. Next session by Mr. Manish Gupta, Head, Technical Support Department, & Mr. Prassana Kulkarni Managers Training at Cybage software Pvt. Ltd emphasized on understanding Call Center & IT and Data Management & Transaction processing. Concluding session by Mr. Santosh Kanhe covered the topics like IT in Global Environment, Four Key Dimensions and Opportunity Assessment.
A paper presentation competition was organized for the students to present the papers on the project they have undergone during their MBA Course.
The event concluded with the Valedictory function in the auspicious presence of Mr. Rajendra Dahale, Dy. Commissioner of Police, Crime (EOW and Cyber) and Mr. Shyam Keswani, Retd. VP, Sandvik Asia Pvt Ltd.
