Kruttika Award

Yojakta Pawar of Sinhgad Institutes receives Kruttika Award - Female Engineering Scholarship award from Atlas Copco

Kruttika Award 2018 was granted to Yojakta Pawar of Sinhgad Institutes by Managing Director of Atlas Copco Mr. Giovanni Valent at a ceremony held at their GECIA Center at Hinjewadi, Pune. The other officials of Atlas Copco present on the occasion were Vagner Rego, President, Vice President Eric Pieder, and General Manager Rajeev Dadhe along with all the staff members of Atlas Copco. Dean Training & Placement of Sinhgad Institutes Prof. Pitambre duly accompanied by Training & Placement Officer Savita Sharma were also present on the occasion.

With intent to promote female engineers, Atlas Copco initiated the Kruttika Award. Under this program an amount of Rupees 50,000 is awarded to the female topper of Mechanical Engineering branch on basis of Third Year Engineering results. The programs goal is to remove financial barriers for female students who demonstrate academic excellence and are pursuing studies in Mechanical Engineering fields.

The scholarship program hopes to encourage female engineer to stay in the core industry and to become active role models and leader in the field. This is in line with Atlas Copco policy of promoting diversity and being an equal opportunity employer.

This year the Kruttika Award 2018 - is awarded to Yojakta Pawar, Mechanical Engineering student from Sinhgad College of Engineering. She also received direct offer to join the company. Yojakta is Third Year topper from amongst the entire female mechanical student from STES.
